Entrepreneur ‘chuffed to bits’ by MBE
THE Chamber wishes to congratulate entrepreneur Liz Jackson, managing director of Great Guns Marketing, who has been made an MBE for services to business.
The award is in recognition of Liz’s business achievements and the huge inspiration she is to budding entrepreneurs everywhere. Liz is a regular business speaker, enthralling audiences with her story of success over adversity: she is totally blind yet has achieved amazing success.
Liz started her highly successful telemarketing business in 1998 with just a £1,000 grant and a £4,000 loan from The Princes Trust. Under Liz’s leadership, Basingstoke-based Great Guns has developed into the UK’s premier telemarketing company, with six branches across the UK and Ireland. The company now employs more than 100 staff and has a turnover approaching £3million.
Liz said: “Receiving an MBE is a huge honour and I’m chuffed to bits.
“I love the world of business and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. Getting honoured in this way for something I love doing is incredible.”
She added: “It’s amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it. I’ll never get tired of setting huge goals and then going after them. My MBE is a huge achievement and represents a major milestone for me and the brilliant team here at Great Guns Marketing.”
Liz now looks forward to receiving her MBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace. |
